Terms
These terms cover this website and the process of registering interest in the Heritage Run. They are not the contract for a place on the run — that comes later, in writing, and only once the run is confirmed.
Who you are dealing with
The Heritage Run is organised and operated by Trofeo Karting, a company registered in Colorado. Trofeo Motoring Society is the name we use for this event; Trofeo Karting is the party these terms are with, and the party any later written confirmation and payment will be with.
Registering interest is not a booking
Submitting the form tells us you are interested. It does not reserve a place, create a contract, or oblige you to anything, and it does not oblige us to offer you a place.
The Heritage Run is limited to 10 vehicles and only goes ahead once ten drivers have registered. If that number is not reached, the run does not run, and we will tell you.
No payment is taken here
This site does not process payments and does not collect card or bank details. If the run is confirmed and you decide to take a place, payment terms, deposits, transfers and cancellation provisions will be set out in a written confirmation you receive first.
Prices
The prices shown — $5,200 per driver and $3,500 for an optional passenger — describe what a place is expected to cost and what it is expected to include. They are indicative until confirmed in writing, and we may correct obvious errors.
Personal travel to and from the run, fuel, and vehicle transport are not included. Vehicle transport is entirely optional and billed separately; we are glad to help arrange it at cost to you.
The itinerary may change
Hotels, venues and individual experiences are described in general terms because they are not yet contracted. We may substitute properties, venues or activities for ones of a comparable standard, and we may alter timings or the route for weather, road closures, safety or other circumstances outside our control.
Your vehicle, your licence, your insurance
To take part you must hold a valid driving licence, and your vehicle must be road-legal, currently registered and insured for the whole route, and mechanically sound for roughly 500 miles of mountain driving.
You remain responsible for your vehicle throughout, including its condition, its insurance and anything it carries.
This is not a race
Every mile runs on public roads. There is no timing, no scoring and no competitive element anywhere on the route, and the Tail of the Dragon passage is a measured, non-competitive drive.
You drive your own vehicle and you alone are responsible for how you drive it. You must obey all traffic laws and speed limits, follow the briefings, and drive within your own and your vehicle's limits. We may ask anyone driving dangerously or unlawfully to leave the group.
Risk
Driving long distances on mountain roads carries risk. You take part voluntarily and accept the ordinary risks of road travel, including the conduct of other road users and conditions we do not control.
If the run is confirmed, you will be asked to sign a separate participant agreement before taking part. That document, not this page, governs participation.
What we are responsible for
We take reasonable care in organising the run and in choosing the suppliers we work with. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of independent third parties such as hotels, venues, circuits, restaurants or transport providers, nor for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
This website
We try to keep this site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee either. The text, photography, design and marks on it belong to us or our licensors, and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, submit false registrations, or use automated tools against it.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page as the run takes shape. This version is dated 19 August 2026.
